The History, Present and Future of our Printshop
Phillips & Sons is a family firm which started in the 1880s as horse drawn Cart and Carriage Builders. With the arrival of the Motor Car at the turn of the Century, Phillips & Sons became Motor Car Body Builders, Mechanical and Bodywork Repairers and Car Stockists and Sellers. During WWII, Phillips’ Garage became an Army Depot. After the War, Phillips & Sons (Buckingham) Ltd sold new and second hand cars, and serviced and repaired all makes of cars.
About a hundred years after the family firm began, in 1987 Chris Phillips founded Phillips Print & Stationers. Two former Phillips & Sons employees were the first staff members, and as the business grew more staff were recruited. When Chris died suddenly in 2009, the family, led by Roger, Chris’ brother, decided to continue the Printshop, to serve the community as well as it had before.
Today and Tomorrow
We all at Phillips Print & Stationers always seek to provide the best possible personal service for our customers, not only in Buckingham but also in the wider community. We provide the widest possible range of print materials, plus many useful stationery items. We can print almost anything in sizes up to A0, in black & white or colour, working from your own paper, canvas or electronic originals! We love to help our customers get their designs and documents to be just as they want them to look when printed, whether the finished article is a book, booklet, newsletter, document, plan, picture, card, special design or anything else. We go the extra mile to get it right for you. And, we like to support our local community with charitable donations, and in other practical ways within our means.
